Brendon McGhee
Head Coach


Brendon is in his fifth year as a coach for Wood, his third as head coach. Brendon swam for the team from 2002 thru 2006. He has coached at the Hatboro YMCA and Tri-Hampton YMCA before joining our team. He currently runs the McGhee Funeral home in Southampton. Brendon is bringing new and exciting ideas to the table while keeping the traditions we have had in the past.





Charlie Stillwell
Assistant Coach


This is will be Charlie's 28th year as coach of the Archbishop Wood Boys and Girls swim team. Charlie was and assistant coach with Wood in 1996 before taking over as head coach and was an assistant coach with the Wood girls team in 1984 and 1985. He is semi-retired and helping as an assistant coach for his third year. His swimming career began as a freshman where he swam for Archbishop Wood, making All-Catholic his last three years on the team, where he was a Co-Captain his Senior year. He went on the swim in college at the University of Maryland where he set school records in the 100 Breaststroke and 400 Medley Relay his Junior year. Charlie currently works in the computer industry as a system administrator. He continues his swimming career by partipating US Masters meets and swimming almost everyday.

 



Kim Higginson
Assistant Coach


Kim is in her eighth year as a coach for Wood this year and brings a wealth of experience. Kim has a masters in education and teaches at Nativity of Our Lord. Kim has been coaching for over 10 years and was head coach for Archbishop Carroll High School for 2 years. Kim is also a Lifeguard Instructor. Kim has two future Wood swimmers creating havoc and joy at home!

 

Ed Quarry
Assistant Coach

 

This is Ed's first year as a coach at Archbishop Wood. Ed finished his excellent swimming career at the University of Florida. He was head coach at Temple University for five years. He also was head coach at Father Judge and Saint Hubert's High School for several years. He most recent coaching was with the Hatboro-Horsham aquatic club. Ed brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the coaching staff. Welcome aboard!

 

 

Angie Nurek
Assistant Coach

This will be Angie's 16th year coaching and fouth after coming after a 5 year hiatus. Angie swam for Wood in High School and graduated in 2002. Angie went to Temple University and graduated with a teaching degree. Angie is into crafting creating many unique gifts.
